People in the north inner city are being asked to help the gardai in the Eddie Hutch murder investigation.
Officers remain on high alert after the brother of Gerry ‘The Monk’ Hutch was gunned down on Monday night. Armed gardai patrolled the city last night as officers made an official appeal for witnesses.

Four masked men pulled up to the 58 year old’s house on Poplar Row in North Strand in a silver BMW on Monday night. It was later found abandoned in Drumcondra.
Assistant Commissioner Jack Nolan is also interested in three more cars which were also reported in the area. They are a black Peugeot seen in the vicinity at the time of the shooting, an Isuzu jeep or Toyota Landcruiser.

Gardai have also made a very specific appeal in this investigation. They're looking for any retailers, who sold fuel in a drinks type bottle, to come forward. Officers found this bottle in the getaway car and believe the gunmen were going to set the car on fire, but ran out of time.
