The victim in last night's fatal shooting in the capital was wearing a bulletproof vest when he he was shot dead.
The man in 40's died from gunshot wounds to the head on the Foxhill rd in Tallaght at around 10:30pm.
Gardai investigating a shooting in Dublin last night are appealing to the public for information.
