Dublin City Council say they are trying to tackle anti-social behaviour in apartment complexes in the Pearse Street area.
Anti-social behaviour is also an issue in the nearby Kevin Street flat complex.
Dublin City Council Housing staff and The Gardai are liaising to develop a solution to the problem but Local Sinn Fein Councillor Chris Amdrews said many people are living in fear due to petty crime and vandalism.
He also says that if this isn't tackled now somebody will get hurt;
