A man and his dog have been rescued from the Tolka River at Fairview after he jumped in to save his best friend.
Six fire crews and an ambulance attended the scene after the man got in to difficulty while rescuing his dog who had jumped in to chase the swans.
The owner is being treated for shock and the dog is ok too.
