500,000 Euro Spent On Impounding And Slaughtering Horses

Dublin Councils have spent more than 500,000 euro on impounding and slaughtering horses this year alone.

The Herald is reporting that 770 horses have been put-down since January.

South Dublin Council has the highest seizure count, costing the city 351,000 euro to date.

Only 28 horses were released to their owners for a fee, 38 were rehomed.
