5000 Vehicles Clamped In Dublin In September

More than 5000 vehicles were clamped in Dublin in September.

Figures show that Dublin Street Parking Services clamped 5071 cars last month.

The worst place to park illegally was Merrion Square West where 82 cars were clamped while around 60 cars were caught on Dominick Street Lower, Jervis Street and Pearse Street.

More than 40 percent of cars were clamped for being parked in a pay and display or permit area without displaying a valid permit.

Fridays are the worst days and between 7am and 2pm were the worst hours.
