Three people including a young boy have been taken to hospital following a fire at an apartment complex in Santry.
The blaze in Geraldstown Wood in Northwood, took hold at about ten past five last evening.
A five year old boy was taken to Temple Street Children's Hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation while two men were also hospitalised in a similar condition.
The fire engulfed two apartments but six homes were left uninhabitable as a result of the blaze.
Sixteen residents were put up in a hotel for the night.
