Two men have been arrested after a garda car was rammed following a botched crime spree on the north side today.
Early this morning two men tried unsuccessfully to break in to a house in Whitehall and a shop in Santry.
At around 6am Gardaí spotted the men in a black 4 X 4 on Hillcrest Park in Glasnevin and signalled the car to stop.
When it didn't, officers followed the car onto Glasnevin Park where it rammed a patrol car and fled the scene.
One garda was injured but not seriously.
In a follow-up operation a car was intercepted in the Ashbourne area of Co Meath at 6.45am.
Two men in their 20s were arrested and are being held at Ashbourne Garda Station.
