Gardaí in Drogheda are investigating an incident during which an 18-year-old was held at gunpoint.
The victim had arranged to meet a man to sell his car at about 11.30 last night - but was instead met by two masked men, one of whom had a gun.
He was brought to a disused farmhouse, where he was held for a number of hours - before being taken to his home.
A number of his family members were then assaulted - before the raiders escaped with stolen property worth less than 1,000 euro.
The masked men's car was found burnt out a short time later - and Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
