132 Covid-19 checkpoints are in place on the nation's roads.

People are being asked to stay within 5 kilometres of their home under level 5 restrictions.

At any given time over 2,500 thousand Gardaí will be conducting checkpoints or be on patrol in an effort to ensure the public comply with restrictions.

People are being asked to stay and work from home unless its essential to go to their place of work or study.

Health Minister Stephen Donnelly says students living away from home cannot return for a visit.

If you want to go for a walk or a run, you must stay within 5km of your home.

No household visits are permitted but we can meet with people from one other household in a park.

Outdoor dining is now prohibited but restaurants, cafes and pubs can provide a takeaway service.
