Cyclist In His 60's Dies In Coolock Crash

A man has died in a road crash in Dublin.

Gardaí and emergency services were called to the scene on the R139 in Coolock shortly after 8pm last night.

The collision, involving a bicycle and a car, resulted in the death of a cyclist in his 60s.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his remains were taken to the city mortuary.

A technical examination of the scene was carried out by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators but traffic diversions have since been lifted.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.

Road users who were in the area between 7.30pm and 8.15pm and who may have camera footage, including dash-cam recordings, are asked to make it available.
