A man in his 40s has been shot in Lucan in Dublin.
It happened at Griffeen Glen Park at ten to two this afternoon.
Gardai say the victim of today's shooting was hit a number of times while he sat in his car.
He's been taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown where his condition is described as serious.
The road is closed to traffic and the scene is preserved.
Investigations are ongoing.
