Lord Lariat has won the Grand National at Fairyhouse on the final day of the Easter Festival.

The 40-1 shot was guided to victory by jockey Paddy O'Hanlon.

It's a second successive win in the race for Meath trainer Dermot McLoughlin.

Last year, Freewheelin Dylan took victory at odds of 150-1.

Pre-race favourite Gaillard Du Mesnil was in contention all the way, but eventually finished in third.

Frontal Assault came home in second with Screaming Colours in fourth.
