Last time, he swam 10k across Dublin Bay, and now Brian Maher from 98FM's Big Ride Home is stepping up for his next endurance challenge. Taking place on May 20th, 'Brian Maher's 24 Hour Runathon' will see Brian run for 24 hours to raise much needed funds for Special Olympics Ireland.

It'll all start at 9am on May 20th at The Phoenix Park, with Brian aiming to run around 160km (almost 4 marathons) over 24 hours.

Speaking to 98FM's Big Breakfast, Brian explained how this year marks the 10th anniversary of his first charity event. "My first one was 10 years ago, running 5 marathons in 5 days. After that I started setting those goals for myself and it's amazing. Doing something that scares you enough to make you train".

Brian is aiming to raise €24,000 and donations are open now at 98FM.

Stay with 98FM for updates and we'll be live with Brian for his Runathon.

Best of luck Mr. Maher!
