Ireland and Leinster hooker Ronan Kelleher is to be sidelined for the remainder of the Six Nations because of a shoulder problem.

The front row forward sustained the injury against France last weekend.

Kelleher will miss the matches against Italy in Dublin next weekend and next month's fixtures with England at Twickenham and Scotland at the Aviva Stadium.

Kelleher's Leinster team-mate Dan Sheehan made an impression off the bench against France and is now in line for a promotion to Andy Farrell's starting 15.

Ulster's Rob Herring is also back in the fray, having missed the opening two rounds of the competition with a calf injury.
