Chelsea have received a massive boost ahead of their second Champions League group game against Ajax with the news that midfielder N'Golo Kante is fit and available for selection.

The France international has been sidelined since the international break in October with a groin injury, missing the first Ajax clash, three Premier League games and the EFL Cup defeat to Manchester United.

Kante trained with the squad on Monday and his manager Frank Lampard confirmed that he is available for the visit of the Dutch champions, whom they defeated 1-0 in Amsterdam less than two weeks ago.

"He's in the squad so he's fit," said Lampard at the pre-match press conference. "It looks like the injuries and a few niggles we were getting have cleared up so we've been able to get some work into him.

"He's in the squad and he's available."

Kante has scored in two of the three ninety-minute appearances he has made in the Premier League this season while his only Champions League action was in the victory away to French club Lille.

Antonio Rudiger is not yet ready to return for the Blues with Lampard revealing that the defender will be seeing a specialist on Monday.

The German international suffered a freak groin injury when he slipped on a metal plate on the side of the pitch during Chelsea's visit to Wolves in September.

Meanwhile, there was an announcement made to confirm that the Court of Arbitration for Sport will hear Chelsea's appeal against their Fifa two-window transfer ban on November 20.

The London club has already served one window of the ban and if the CAS appeal is successful, it would mean that they could be in the market for players in January.

It has been reported that Lampard could have access to a £150 million transfer kitty to strengthen his squad.
