Inner City Helping Homeless is to stop providing homeless services from the start of next week.

A liquidator appointed to the charity informed its volunteers today, and said alternative homeless services are prepared for an increase in demand.

The homeless charity will cease operations on Monday, 15th November.

It follows controversy surrounding its founder Anthony Flynn, and allegations of sexual assault against him.

KPMG says it has engaged with the Dublin Regional Homeless Executive to ensure a smooth transition of services from the Charity to other suitable service providers in the local area.

KPMG says: "Kieran Wallace was appointed provisional liquidator by Order of the High Court perfected on 07 October 2021 and subsequently appointed liquidator by Order of the High Court perfected on 01 November 2021.

"Unfortunately, due to the appointment of the liquidator, services provided by the Charity will cease on 15 November 2021.

"The liquidator wishes to extend his sincerest appreciation to the employees and volunteers for their invaluable contribution to some of the most vulnerable members of our society, in particular throughout the liquidation period ensuring no disruption to services.

"The liquidator has engaged with the Dublin Regional Homeless Executive to ensure a smooth transition of services from the Charity to other suitable service providers in the local area. Together with the DHRE, the liquidator has mapped the services provided by the Charity to alternative service providers, ensuring no service user has been disadvantaged as a result of the liquidator’s appointment."
