The Wings For Life World Run takes place on Sunday 8th May at 12pm, with people participating all across the world.

100% of the €20 entry fee will go straight to the not-for-profit spinal cord research foundation, Wings for Life.

Want to take part? It's pretty simple!

About the run

More than 180,000 runners and wheelchair users from 195 nations took part in the Wings for Life World Run in 2021.

You don't need to be super athletic or experienced.

How to register

To get started, just download the official app on IOS or Android, or visit their website here.

Register your details and proceed to the, 'Sign Up,' page.

Once there, select, 'sign up now,' followed by, 'Run Wherever You Want.'

On race day, ensure your phone and headphones are charged and ready to go.

And have the app open and connected to your headphones a couple minutes in advance to avail of the interactive experience.

Once all that's sorted, you're good to go!

How it works

Runners of all abilities, as well as wheelchair users will start together at 12pm (Irish time) on Sunday 8th May.

The virtual Catcher Car will start 30 minutes later.

It'll gradually get faster, passing participants, who will be kept informed through the interactive GPS system on the app.

Once passed by the Catcher Car, runners will know they've successfully completed the event.
