This Sunday, 1st June, the streets of Dublin will come alive as thousands of women participate in the 43rd Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon.

The 10km race kicks off at 12:30pm from Fitzwilliam Place and concludes on Lower Baggot Street, celebrating this year's theme: "Championing Womankind."

Participants are encouraged to arrive in their designated wave by 11:30am, with final arrivals no later than 12:00pm. The event welcomes women aged 14 and over to walk, jog, or run, fostering a spirit of unity and empowerment.

Since its inception in 1983, the Mini Marathon has raised over €250 million for various charities across Ireland. This year, runners will don customised t-shirts representing their chosen causes, adding a vibrant splash of colour to the city streets.

To ensure the safety of all participants, several road closures will be in effect. Key roads, including Herbert Street, Fitzwilliam Street Upper, and Baggot Street Lower, will be closed from 4:00am to 7:00pm on race day. Additional closures will occur along the race route, affecting areas such as Leeson Street and Donnybrook Road. Motorists are advised to plan accordingly and consider using public transport.
