Over a quarter of a million visitors have attended the Christmas at the Castle event in the city centre.

The Lord Mayor of Dublin Paul McAuliffe and the Minister for the Office of Public Works and Flood Relief Kevin ‘Boxer’ Moran are delighted with the tremendous success of the market at Dublin Castle.

Over 275,000 people visited the event over 10 days.

The Winter Wonderland experience ran from the 12th of this month up until yesterday and was organised by the OPW in partnership with Dublin City Council.

Minister 'Boxer' Moran says “This was a gorgeous experience for everyone, young and old, and was a fabulous event to get people into the Christmas spirit.  I would like to convey my sincerest thanks to all the organisers, staff, vendors and special guests who assisted in making this a unique visitor experience”.
