The ‘Mission Impossible’ actor has revealed details on his $200 million movie that is to be filmed in space!
Cruise first made headlines 3 years ago when he revealed his plans to be the first to film in space and has kept to his word!
NASA confirmed in 2020 that Cruise would be working with them on his project with help from billionaire Elon Musk and his project Space X.
A start date for production is yet to be decided but the actor has the backing of Universal Studios in this new adventure. NASA’s Jim Bridenstine posted on Twitter saying how 'We need popular media to inspire a new generation of engineers and scientists to make NASA's ambitious plans a reality.'
The film is set to take place on earth with a hero needing to save the planet by going into space. Universal’s chairwoman Donna Langley also hinted that Cruise ‘will become the first civilian to do a space walk outside of the International Space Station.'
