That’ll be the last of it now!

Award season continues over in Tinsel town, with the 75th Emmy Awards taking place last night.

As they’re television awards as opposed to film awards, they’re not usually on this time of year.

The Emmys were delayed 4 months due to the strikes in Hollywood.

So they finally took place in Los Angeles on Monday night and unsurprisingly, Succession absolutely cleaned up.

The HBO series which came to an end last year, took home 6 awards, including Best Actor awards for Sarah Snook, Kieran Culkin and Matthew Macfayden.

Sarah Snook devoted her award to her daughter, who she was pregnant with during filming of the final season.

“It’s very easy to act when you’re pregnant because you have hormones raging,” she joked.

Matthew Macfadyen, who won Best Supporting Actor for his role as a Tom in Succssion, paid tribute to his on-screen wife Sarah Snook and  his “other” on-screen wife, Nicholas Braun, who plays Greg.

Other big winners were The Bear and Beef with 6 and 5 winners respectively.

And on the other side of the coin, the big loser of the night was Better Call Saul which was nominated for 7 awards but didn’t win a single one.

Other memorable moments from the night were Jennifer Coolidge winning Best Actress in a Drama Series for her portrayal of Tanya in The White Lotus, referencing her iconic line "These gays are trying to murder me!” in her acceptance speech.

And the legendary Elton John reached EGOT status as his Farewell Tour won the award for Best Variety Special Live.

Elton wasn't able to attend the awards himself to pick up the momentous award. His producer Ben Winston who accepted the award on his behalf informed the audience that the singer was resting after a knee operation.
