Paul Mescal in a romcom, it’s more likely than you think!
Since his rise to fame in 2020 for his portrayal of Connell in Normal People, Paul Mescal has gone on to star in a number of critically acclaimed movies and TV shows.
But none of those roles have been exactly lighthearted, the Kildare man does seem to be most suited to serious roles with a lot of emotional depth.

So among all the doom and gloom, is he looking for a little bit of comic relief?
In an interview with Awards watch, Paul admitted that while doing a full on comedy “scares” him, he wouldn’t say no to a romcom!
“Comedy scares me deeply because I think I saw Bottoms recently and I was in awe of how they do that. That’s one of those I leave the cinema and I’m incredibly jealous and brightened of everybody’s talents involved with that film,” he said.
“But I think in the next five years I’m going to set myself a challenge to do maybe like a rom-com with Ayo or something like that would be cool.”
