Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a shooting in Cabra last night.

Shortly before 10 o'clock, a number of shots were fired at a house on St. Attracta Road.

Windows were damaged at the house, but no one was injured.

Armed Gardaí carried out searches in the area, and the scene was preserved for a technical examination.

Fianna Fáil local representative Mary Fitzpatrick said locals were horrified.

"Everybody is just very upset and shocked by this incident," she said.

"It's unacceptable that anybody thinks they can come into Cabra and start violence and shooting like this."
