First Look At Wild Lights 2019 At Dublin Zoo

Wild Lights returns to Dublin Zoo this winter.

The award winning light spectacular is back and better than ever with a brand new theme: Stories, Myths and Legends.

Wild Lights 2019 is sure to capture the hearts and imaginations of the young and old alike.

Wild Lights will open to the public on Friday, 1st November running from 5pm-9pm until Sunday, 5th January.

'Miracle' Weight Loss Ads To Be Banned From Instagram.

Miracle weight loss ads are going to be banned from Instagram and Facebook.

Under 18s will also be blocked from seeing weight loss ads that include prices or incentives to buy.

The move comes after a petition gained over 240 thousand signatures calling on celebrities to stop promoting diet products.

Saoirse Ronan Selling €1.5M Home In Greystones

Saoirse Ronan has put her five-bedroom home in Greystones on the market. The detached house, which also has five bathrooms, is up for sale for €1.5 million.

The lavish property, located on the New Road, was built in the 1970s and sits on a 450 square metre piece of land.

It has since been re-designed and modernised in the past two years.

The property features a tree lined driveway and manicured lawns, with mature greenery and high walls.

Netflix has released the full list of everything new to the streaming service in October.

Stillorgan Bowling Alley Facing Closure

One of Dublin's oldest bowling alleys is facing closure.

A property group wants to demolish Leisureplex in Stillorgan, which first opened in the sixties.

Kennedy Wilson wants to make room for more than 200 apartments at the site.

The 232 luxury homes would include a roof terrace, cinema, gym and residents' lounge.

If given planning permission Kennedy Wilson plans to create four restaurants and cafes, and two retail units on the site.

However, a local Councillor has raised concerns about the potential loss of the bowling alley.

 

Octoberfest Dublin Have an Update

We found out a few weeks ago that October Fest will not be back in Dublin for 2019, but they have come out today with a statement:

To all our Irish Friends and Oktoberfest Fans- as you are aware, unfortunately Oktoberfest Dublin will not be happening this year...

The good news is, we hope to be back in Dublin for 2020 and we will keep you updated of the details here.

On a side note, they also added:

Since we have had to cancel this year, a number of small imitation events have sprung up in Dublin and some are attempting to give the impression, that they are connecting to our event. Please note, that we are in no way connected to any smaller imitation events beeing staged in Dublin this year. We are looking forward to seeing you all in 2020...
