Three men have been arrested by Gardai following a high-speed chase from Dublin to Louth.
It began after a string of burglaries in the south of the city.
Last night, a Garda patrol car in Tallaght noticed a car acting suspiciously.
Following reports of a number of burglaries in Blackrock, a Garda helicopter joined a patrol of the area.
Gardai then chased the same car along the M50, until those inside jumped out on the M1 near Dundalk and ran into a field.
A man in his twenties and two teenagers were arrested, but a fourth person managed to get away.
A number of items stolen in one of the earlier burglaries were found thrown along the M50.
One Garda has been treated for minor injuries, and the three suspects are being held at Dundalk Garda Station.
