Here are top three picks for fun in the sun across the city and county ...

Big Grill Festival

The Big Grill is Europe’s largest BBQ festival, and returns for its seventh year from August 11th-14th 2022 in Herbert Park, Dublin 4.

This is the festival's biggest lineup yet with lots of new additions featuring fire, fun and food - and under 12s go free!

Grease at Leopardstown Racecourse

Retro Drive-in Movies at Leopardstown Racecourse  celebrates the legacy of Olivia Newton John with a special screening of Grease.

While vacationing in Australia, Danny and Sandy indulge in a passionate love affair with each other. They part ways believing they will not see each other again but fate has other plans.

Grease at Leopardstown Racecourse takes place Sunday August 14th - book tickets here.

The Big Dig at Phoenix Park

The Phoenix Park Visitor Centre presents The Big Dig with the School of Irish Archaeology on Sunday, August 2022 14th from 11.00am to 4.00pm.

This innovative product allows children to explore the Viking world through a simulated and controlled archaeology dig.

Children will experience what it is like to be an archaeologist by learning how to excavate the remains of a Viking house, digging for Viking treasures and artefacts dating back over 1000 years and learning about our Viking ancestors through the eyes of real archaeologists!

The Big Dig is a free event, but booking is essential - email phoenixparkvisitorcentre@opw.ie or call 01-6770095 to book your place.
