The RSA and members of the Gardai are joining forces in the battle against road fatalities for World Remembrance Day.

In Ireland, motorists are being urged to change their bad habits, slow down and consider their behaviour, when behind the wheel.

Official records show that 23,405 people have died on Irish roads since records began in 1959.

Charlie Mitchell lost his brother Fran in a road collision eight years ago and describes the affect his death had on the family.
