With Electric Picnic only two weeks away, we can't contain our excitement.
Not only have The Prodigy, Picture This and many more acts recently been added to the line up, but so too some new experiences.
The 2018 edition looks set to be the most interesting year yet!
La Fura dels Baus
The newest addiction to the line-up is not to be missed. A unique dramatic arts show has been created exclusively for this year's festival.
The show called 'Human Seed' will see the troupe will create a mesmerising human net with the help and addition of 55 Irish volunteers.
As the human net takes centre stage, it will be raised to a death-defying 40 foot over the wondrous eyes of the picnickers at Stradbally Hall.
Adding further drama to the mesmeric marvel will be a 10 metre moving Transformer style puppet, that will illuminate the night time skies as it towers over the crowds below.
The Banquet
The ‘Banquet at Electric Picnic’ is set to tantalise taste buds at this year’s festival.
This is an exclusive partnership with Tesco finest, to serve a five star fine dining banquet at the three day event using only the finest* ingredients.
Guests will be treated to a gastronomic dining experience in sumptuous surrounds of Stradbally Estate with five star silver service at this year’s Picnic.
Tickets to the Fine Dining Picnic are priced at €120, in turn raising funds for Temple Street Children’s University Hospital and Pieta House.
Electric Picnic is renowned for having some of the best festival food and this year it’s raising the bar with this gourmet gastronomic five course banquet.
Heineken Live Your Music: The Next Evolution
Heineken Live Your Music is ready to return to Electric Picnic and it’s going to change the face of live festival experiences.
Heineken, will explore the power that music has to bring us together by opening music fans’ eyes to the fresh possibilities music presents.
Electric Picnic 2018 will see Live Your Music being taken to the next level, evolving the concept for Electric Picnic.
With the full line up still yet to be announced, Heineken Live Your Music is set to expand on its usual offering and explore a soundscape of genres specifically with the Electric Picnic audience in mind.
Just Eat Retreat
The Just Eat Retreat is all about the food with ‘Flavourville’, the ultimate foodie destination and chill-out zone at this year’s festival.
This years retreat will see some of Ireland's Top DJ's playing alongside, some of Ireland's top restaurants, with the 2018 selection including Box Burger, Platform Pizza, Daata and Arctic Stone.
At Flavourville, picnic-goers will be able to recharge in the dedicated refuelling and relaxation space at the Just Eat Retreat and enjoy the cuisines on offer, all served up by the Just Eat Waiters.
The Green-crafts Village
At this year’s Electric Picnic, a unique pop-up village will be built by 35 of arguably Ireland’s best rural craft crews. Each bring their own special workspaces and offer the festival public a chance to “have-a-go” and learn a traditional rural craft skill for free, as well as “make something beautiful to take home” workshops.
As well as the area being a fun, friendly, skill share experience, GreenCrafts is also the Electric Picnic’s leading “Off-Grid” zone.
Pioneering sustainable and ethical making, there are no generators or mains electricity making it a lovely, healthy, relaxing alternative of clean green energy powered totally by the sun and people!
