Fergus McFadden will miss Ireland's clash with New Zealand this weekend, and unfortunately for Leinster, will be sidelined for several weeks.

The winger could miss the crucial back to back Heineken Cup games against Northampton next month.

Joe Schmidt though, may be worried about his wide three options now.

Craig Gilroy and Simon Zebo were already unavailable, and Rob Kearney is also struggling with the rib injury that he picked up against Australia.

Luke Fitzgerald may be the benefactor, and force his way into Sunday's squad for the All Blacks game.

Brian O'Driscoll is also a slight doubt. His calf has tightened up, but he says that he should be fine for the weekend.

Darren Cave and Felix Jones have been drafted in as cover.

Positive news for Jonny Sexton though, as his strained hamstring isn't as bad as first feared.

The outhalf is undergoing intensive treatment and he's yet to be ruled out of the big one on Sunday.
