Hurricane Fly won a record breaking 17th grade one race today in the StanJames.com Morgiana Hurdle at Punchestown with Ruby Walsh on board.

The victory sees him outdo Paul Nicholls's chasing hero Kauto Star and American flat horse John Henry.

The 1-16 favourite had to hold off his fast-finishing stable-mate Marito (14-1) for his 21st win from 32 starts.

Walsh, who won on all five of his rides at Punchestown on Sunday, was quick to pay tribute to Mullins.

He said: "To win 17 is incredible. To keep a horse that fit and that healthy, and to keep running at that level for so long, is an achievement in its own.

"It's a privilege to be able to ride him, but the work everyone puts into it at home is incredible."
