An 18 year old girl is in a critical condition following a crush on Harcourt Street last night.
It happened shortly before midnight at Camden Place where a crowd of up to 1500 had gathered.
Copper Face Jacks Nightclub have issued this statement:
"We refer to the incident that occurred last night at the junction of Camden Place and Harcourt Street as a result of which a number of people were injured. We are working closely with all relevant authorities to establish the cause of this incident."
"The safety and well being of our patrons is paramount at all times, and at present our major concern is for the people who were caught up in the incident and particularly those who were injured."
7 people were injured in a crowd surge, four were brought to the Emergency Department, and today an 18 year old girl remains in a critical condition.
Gardai are investigating.
