Gay People At Much Higher Risk Of Suicide

Gay people are at a much higher risk of suicide and self harm.

That's according to the Gay Switchboard which is launching a re-vamped service today for the LGBT community.

Research by Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland last year suggested they're seven times more likely to to try and take their life than straight people.

The Switchboard's Tony Cooney says facing stigma and isolation can often lead to poor mental health.
