Father of R'n'B star Mary J Blige is in a critical condition in hospital in the US.

63-year-old Thomas Blige was allegedly stabbed by an ex-girlfriend.

Blige was found in his flat in Michigan with stab wounds to his neck and was rushed to surgery.
