The iconic director was on 98FM's Big Breakfast with Rebecca and Brendan this morning.

Paul spoke about his time on the hit Nickelodeon show, Sabrina the Teenage Witch and what it was like shooting scenes with 'Salem the Cat'.

Speaking about his time playing Mr.Pool on Sabrina The Teenage Witch, Rebecca asked Paul if Salem the cat was a puppet or an anatomic robot?

To which Paul replied: Salem was an animatronic robot, but then my favourite Salem moments were always when they would just use a real cat and Nick Bakay who does the voice of Salem, would just sort of ad lib things, to fit what the cat was doing. That was always, what I thought the fun thing was".

Speaking More on Sabrina The Teenage Witch and how he felt playing Mr.Pool in season one of the hit show, Paul said:

"That was a real fun time back in the 90's, it was a big deal for me, I had been an actor for years and years and had been on a lot of  TV shows that only went one season and got cancelled. And so, this was finally a hit show, but then at the end of the first season they wrote me out of the show.. But it was good because it actually kicked me out of the nest, made me get out of acting and go behind the camera, and I think I'm much better off being there".

Asked if Paul would ever return to his iconic role as Mr.Pool, Paul in the iconic TV series, Paul said: "Well, yeno sure! I'd have to put my neck tie back on again and teach everyone what Mitosis is".

Paul's latest project is called 'The School For Good and Evil' which he says is about: "two women in a far away town at another time, one is the daughter of a witch and one is a young woman who wants to be a princess and they find out there's a school called 'The School For Good and Evil' that trains fairytale villians and heros, but the witch gets dropped into the school for good and the princess gets dropped into the school for evil".

'The School For Good and Evil' is to be released on Netflix on October 19th.
