We've teamed up with The Wedding Journal Show to bring you the wedding dress trends you can expect to see in 2019.

The event returns to to Citywest Convention Centre on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th January and will showcase all of the latest bridal fashion on the international catwalk which runs three times daily at 12pm, 2pm and 4pm.

New Necklines

If you are looking to bring something different in the style stakes then why not consider an asymmetric neckline. Sexy, but demure this neckline is the perfect way to stand out from the crowd.

Hot Halternecks

Influenced by that fabulous Stella McCartney gown worn by the Duchess of Sussex on her wedding day, the halterneck wedding dress continues to dominate for 2019. Halterneck dresses are sleek, sophisticated and perfect for the modern bride.

Classically Chic

Simple, classic wedding dresses, again influenced by the Royal Wedding, are chic and modern. Tailored and embellishment free, these dresses are timeless classics that will make you feel like a princess.

Flirty Feathers

Whether you fancy just a touch of feathers with some sleeve or shoulder detailing, a scattering over the dresses or a full-on feather skirt, feathers are a great way to add a stylish twist on tradition without looking too ‘out there’.

Natural Finish

Leaf details add a bohemian and whimsical air to your wedding dress. Whether you want to go for a rustic wide leaf look or a wispy, vine-like creation, visible leaf details are a great way to add a secret garden air to your dream gown.

In Full Bloom

Dynamic 3-D blooms put a textural twist on a traditional bridal detail. Whether they're oversize and all over, delicate and cascading, or embellished with feathers and crystals, this cool-girl way to pull off florals adds dimension to any wedding dress silhouette.

Soft Shades

Pastels have proved popular this season, and not just shades of pink! Some designers, like Vera Wang, worked powder blue into a single standout gown; others, like Reem Acra, sent several lavender and pale green dresses down the runway.

Top Tiers

Looking for a dress with loads of style, but not loads of heavy material? This season’s tiered dresses could be just right for you! Without the hassle of a full skirt or long train, a layered skirt adds movement, but not weight, to a streamlined silhouette.

It’s A Wrap

Wrap dresses are known for their flattering fit, so it makes sense that this dress style has made it’s way in to the bridal collections. After all, if their is one time when you want to be wearing a figure flattering dress it’s definitely your wedding day!

Sparkle & Shimmer

Shine like a star on your special day in a dress that shimmers from head to toe! Forget lace, tulle and embroidery this trend is all about the glitter as you light up the room in a dress that was just made to sparkle.

Shiny Metallics

Metallic wedding dresses are a popular and eye-catching option within the 2019 bridal collections. From cool silvers to warmer golds, these metallic shades offer an alternative option to the traditional white wedding dress.

Sheer Cover

Sheer capes are all the rage for 2019. Long and short, they act as a romantic screen for exposed shoulders. Flirty and feminine they are a stylish addition to a strapless or sleeveless dress and will give you bridal look a different look for day.

Playful & Puffy

A far cry from the outdated versions of the 80s, this season’s puffy bridal sleeves are beautifully elegant, especially when paired with a modern, formfitting silhouette.

Short & Sweet

Hemlines have been raised this season and we love the flattering mid-length styles, although there are some mini versions should this be more your style. Shorter styles make a perfect second dress for the reception or after-party.

Who Wears The…

Trousers and jumpsuits are perfect for brides who just aren’t into dresses, or simple fancy something less conventional from the traditional wedding dress.

Whether a wide legged jumpsuit or more tailored, figure hugging style, there is something to suit everyone.
