Dubliners Musician Eamonn Campbell Dies Aged 70

Tributes have been paid to Dubliners musician Eamonn Campbell, who has died at the age of 70.

He died in a hospital in the Netherlands surrounded by his family.

He'd just finished a European tour with The Dublin Legends when he became unwell.

Mr Campbell is survived by his wife Noreen, six children and 10 grandchildren.

In a social media statement, his bandmates with The Dublin Legends wrote: "Eamonn was a true Legend and brilliant guitar player.

"He will be greatly missed by all his friends and fans around the world."

The Wolfe Tones paid tribute, saying there was "no better guitar player anywhere".

He was also hailed as a "musical genius":
