The BRIT Awards took place at London's O2 Arena last night. Hosts Dermot O'Leary and Emma Willis paid tribute to Michael Bublé and his young son, Noah at the ITV annual ceremony.

Michael was originally confirmed to host the show, but had to pull out in order to take care of his 3-year-old after he was diagnosed with liver cancer.

"Emma and I are honoured to be your hosts - but truth be told we'd much rather be down [in the audience] watching Michael Bublé up here hosting the show," Dermot said.

Emma added: "We so wish that you could be with us this evening. Everybody at the BRITs sends you all of our love. Fingers crossed that we'll see him again next year!"

David Bowie was the star of the show last night. The singer - who passed away last year from cancer - earned both Best British Album of the Year and Best British Male Solo Artist.

Michael C. Hall, the star of Bowie's musical 'Lazarus' - and the singer's son Duncan Jones collected the trophies.
