Woman Hospitalised After Being Stabbed In Leopardstown

A woman in her 30s has been hospitalised after being stabbed in Leopardstown.

The alleged assault happened at around 1:30pm yesterday afternoon at Levmoss Park.

The victim was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital with a number of stab wounds to her body which are believed to be non-life-threatening.

A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene and taken to Dundrum Garda Station while investigations are ongoing.

In a statement gardaí say:

'Gardaí in Stepaside were called to an alleged assault incident this afternoon Wednesday 2nd December, 2020 at approximately 1.30p.m. at Levmoss Park, The Gallops, Leopardstown.'

'One woman (mid 30s) received a number of stab wounds to her body and was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.'

'One man (40s) was arrested at the scene and taken to Dundrum GS where he is currently detained under Section 4, Criminal Justice Act, 1984. Investigations ongoing.'
