Looking for something different to do over the coming months? You can now go on a little adventure with a group of alpacas!

K2 Alpacas has launched a trek with the fluffy animals in Wicklow where you'll learn all about the animals - including how to walk and pet them properly.

The day begins with a quick health and safety chat, and a briefing of how to hold and handle your Alpaca. A talk will then be given about the animals, providing facts on what makes alpacas so unique and lovable! Participants will be able to ask questions while learning about their history.

The Trek experience takes approximately 2 hours in total and is at a leisurely pace, so you'll have plenty of photo opportunities.

At the end of your hike, you'll be rewarded with a glass of prosecco!

Selfies are compulsory on our Treks... :-)

A spokesperson for K2 Alpacas said:

"Alpacas are simply delightful, friendly and curious animals, each with its own personality, get up close to these beautiful animals, hear them hum to each other, feel how soft their fleece is and look into their big brown eyes. Alpaca walking is a great fun activity the whole family can enjoy, one thing we can guarantee it that it will put a smile on your face."

The alpaca hike costs €25. You can find out more here

First 'shorts' trek of the year what a fan day & fan trek we had. It was just the best.
