A very big event is kicking off in the city this weekend!

The Dublin Fringe Festival is starting this Saturday the 9th of September and running for the whole month of September.

Over 562 artists are taking part and Rachael Ryan joined Rebecca and Brendan on 98FM's Big Breakfast this morning to showcase some of the highlights.

The Garden Of Shadows:
'The Garden Of Shadows' is an event at the National Botanical Gardens which is described as an 'an immersive sound and light installation experience'.
Similar to 'Wild Lights at Dublin Zoo' you go there at night time to soak up the colour and beauty of the place!

Mosh:
We've included this in our highlights as we're intrigued by the concept! 'Mosh' is a multimedia theatre show about - you guessed it - moshing! Just like a mosh pit at a heavy metal concert. It's happening at the Project Arts Centre and will feature live music, real interviews, humour and whole lot of headbanging from five performers on stage.

Flirt:
Flirt is a play by the brilliant Irish comedian Grace Mulvey, which explores some of contemporary life's greatest challenges. Such as how to get out of bottomless brunch alive and how to become an adult woman and still be a legend. We're in already!

Clash At The Quays:
Now this sounds bonkers. Have you ever wondered what happens when live music meets the whacky world of professional wrestling? Wonder no more 😂
The show features musicians Ahmed, With Love., KhakiKid, Efé, Negro Impacto, Curtisy and Julia Louise Knifefist, for an all-out musical brawl inside the squared circle of the wrestling ring.

There really is something for everyone at this year's Dublin Fringe Festival so definitely check it out! You can find a full list of shows on their website here.

Dublin Fringe Festival kicks off this Saturday the 9th of September 2023 and finishes up on the 24th of September 2023.
