Russell Brand Cancels Dublin Shows

Russell Brand has cancelled the remainder of his Re:Birth Tour. This includes two shows at Dublin's Olympia Theatre on May 23rd and 24th. 

The comedian says he has been forced to cancel the gigs due to his mother's serious car accident on Friday. Brand says his Mum Barbara has sustained life threatening injuries in the incident. 

Russell announced the news in two emotional videos posted to Instagram, explaining that he us "too sad" to perform at the moment. He says he apologises to fans for "circumstances beyond his control".  

He says tickets will be refunded or the shows will be rescheduled.
