It looks like a mini heatwave could be on the way for the May Bank Holiday. Met Eireann has confirmed that parts of Ireland will experience another spell of good weather from Thursday onwards.

The week will start off cold and dry with temperatures ranging between 10 and 13 degrees, but it will improve towards the weekend with temperatures in the high teens forecast.

Met Eireann says the east of the country will experience the best of the good weather:

"A warm front will move up over Ireland on Thursday bringing in milder weather for the rest of the week and over the weekend.

Rather cloudy overall with possibly some mist and drizzle on Atlantic coasts. But some bright weather too, best in the east of the country and to the lee of high ground. Temperatures will in the mid teens, and into the high teens in sunny areas.

Temperatures will be in the mid teens, and into the high teens in sunny areas."

The good weather has been nicknamed the 'Beauty From The East' in the UK. Fingers crossed we feel the benefits!
