John Connors, the actor who played Patrick Ward in Love/Hate was on The Late Late Show couch last night.
He spoke to Ryan Tubridy about his new documentary 'I am Traveller' and the discrimination people from his community face everyday.
When Tubridy told Connors he 'sounds like a victim', he gave this powerful response:
Some twitter users were angry with how Tubridy handled the interview:
John Connors articulate and honest, Ryan Tubridy and his playing the victim comment, racist, and inept propagandist https://t.co/ZjtTA8wGbN

Emptiness of 'balance' fully revealed in #LateLateShow Ryan Tubridy's implacable desire to deny & erase John Connors' discussion of racism.

"I get the sense you feel aggrieved??"A baffled Tubridy to John Connors just weeks after 10 people burned to death & the survivors abandoned

And praised Connors for his representation of the Travelling Community:
