Heather Small and Johnny Logan have been added to the line-up for Electric Picnic 2018.

The voice of M People will perform at the Electric Ireland Throwback Stage on the Saturday of the festival.

As Part of M People, Heather became one of the most iconic British voices of the decade, with enduring classics such as 'Moving On Up', 'One Night In Heaven' and 'Search For The Hero’ acting as the soundtrack for the 90’s.

Heather has since released two solo albums. The title track of her 'Proud' album has gone on to become the a multi-purpose anthem for the likes of The London Olympics and the Oprah Winfrey Show.

Speaking of the announcement, Heather said:  “There’s no sell-by date to great music. Performing live is what I love to do so I’m delighted and honoured to have the opportunity to play our most popular songs once again. We have some surprises in store for the crowd, so make sure to come throw back at the Electric Ireland stage on Saturday.”

Meanwhile, Eurovision legend Johnny Logan will perform the first ever 'slow set' at the festival.

Johnny released his first song in 1978. He's perhaps best known for winning two Eurovision Song Contents with What's Another Year and Hold Me Now. He's the only performer ever to have done this twice.

Speaking of the announcement, Johnny Logan said: “After years and years of gigging very successfully around Europe, millions of record sales, performing for heads of state from The Queen of England to Pope John Paul at The Vatican - I‘ve finally been asked to play on the Electric Ireland’s Throwback Stage at this year’s Electric Picnic! I am more than delighted and really looking forward to it. The slow set is the perfect way to set the mood before I take to the stage. So many people share their memories of dancing to some of my songs, during the ‘slow set’ back in the day. I really hope people get into the spirit, and enjoy the ‘slow set’, a novel thing in the middle of a festival I’m sure!”

They'll join legendary Irish girl band B*witched as part of Electric Ireland’s Throwback Stage at Electric Picnic this year with more acts still to be announced.

Electric Picnic returns to Stradbally, Co. Laois from August 31st - September 2nd.

Tickets are completely sold out.
