The wait is almost over for fight fans. In the wee hours of Sunday morning, Conor McGregor will be hoping to continue his dominance of the UFC’s octagon.
The Notorious fights Nate Diaz in Las Vegas and a large contingent of Irish fans is expected at the MGM Grand.
A foot injury to Rafael dos Anjos scuppered any chances of seeing for the second time in UFC history, two champions in different divisions fight for a title. Nate Diaz stepped in, and he has appeared to rattle the usually cool and collected McGregor.
Accusations of steroid use and abuse were laughed off by The Notorious, but during their final pre-fight interview the pair had a number of heated exchanges with McGregor cutting a clearly frustrated figure by the end of it.
