Construction is underway on a brand new brewery in Dublin.

The new Rascals HQ in Inchicore will be the home of the award-winning Rascals Brewing company, co-founded by Emma Devlin and Cathal O’Donoghue in 2014.

The premises will house a brewery, a tap room and visitors centre, a pizzeria, and a multi-function event space.

This week saw the delivery and installation of over a dozen new brewing vessels.

Speaking about the production capacity, Rascals co-founder Cathal O’Donoghue said: “We’ll have seventeen tanks with a capacity of between three and six thousand litres at a time. We’re also quite excited about our 250-litre pilot brew kit, which will be for experimental recipes. Those innovative brews will only be available here, on tap.”

Rascals HQ aims to serve up top class pizza with its craft beer. The restaurant will have a seated capacity of just over a hundred, and the venue is also available to hire for events. “We can accommodate three or four hundred people easily, for events of any kind,” explains Cathal. “Whether it’s a corporate event or PR launch, or a significant birthday or a Christmas party, we can help you create a really special experience here. Think about it, it’s your very own knees-up in a brewery!”

The company is also aiming to cater for beer lovers of any kind with bespoke tours of the brewery. “Craft beer tourism is a burgeoning sector,” Cathal says. “We greatly welcome the recent legislative change in relation to breweries and visitors. It’s a real boost for us, and for the industry.”

Rascals HQ will be opening in early November.
