Michael Douglas has been talking about why he mentioned his son Cameron during his Emmy acceptance speech this week. In his speech he said how he hoped they would allow him to see his son soon.

Michael says he understands his son has done wrong but can't understand why he's not been allowed any prison visits from his family.

He said “Cameron is a drug addict. He's been in prison for 4 and a half years. There are more drugs in prison than outside so he's had a slip-up. As a result of the slip, the judge has given him the longest sentence in the history of the American penal system. He has given him an extra 4 and a half years so that's a 9 year sentence for having a slip-up. He's been in solitary for 2 years and as a parent, I've been told I cannot visit him for 2 years. So I've now gone from being very disappointed with him to being quite angry with our prison system”.
