The smash hit stage show Billy Elliot is coming to Dublin this summer, where it will run at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre from July 26.
Ahead of its arrival, the theatre is launching a Nationwide Dance Competition to celebrate the Irish premiere season of the internationally acclaimed musical.
"Taking inspiration from the musicals phenomenal choreography and from Billy's inspirational story; the national dance competition is calling on dancers from all over the country to share their own inspirations and passion for dance."
The winner will be chosen during a "spectacular grand finale on Grand Canal Square."
To enter, dancers must record their own original routine (no longer than 2 minutes) to a song that captures the spirit of Billy Elliot and email it to billydancecomp@bgetheatre.ie by 5PM Wednesday May 18.
Each entry will be judged by an expert panel, with five groups being short-listed to take part in the grand final.
The winning group will win tickets for their entire dance group to the Irish premiere of Billy Elliot the Musical at Bord Gáis Energy Theatre.
