The innocent Brightside Choir started the week with a song and brought an innocent feel-good fervour to Connolly Station.

The healthy drinks brand assembled the Brightside Choir from volunteers online, to help brighten up the mundanity of Monday with some classic choral numbers and free samples of its range of Super Smoothies.

Rail commuters were joyfully stopped in their tracks from 8am as the Brightside Choir belted out renditions of some uplifting numbers such as, Bobby McFerrin’s “Don’t Worry Be Happy”; “Reach” by S Club 7; Johnny Nash’s “I Can See Clearly Now”; Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” “Happy” by Pharrell Williams; and “Walking On Sunshine” by Katrina And The Waves.

The choir was led by choir maestra Theodora Byrne, known for her work as a vocalist with James Vincent McMorrow and as the Musical Director of Playlist Choir. Social superstar James Patrice also lent a hand to rally the troops and bolster the ‘brightside’ buzz.
